You’re Not Alone! I’ve been there and I’m here to help!!

Surgical menopause has been a part of my life for 5 years and I’ve dealt with every symptom there is. When I say that it blew the doors off of my life, I was NOT kidding! This is NOT in your head although some people think that it is. Surgical menopause has many symptoms that fall into different categories and that makes it tough to treat!

It seems like the more I learn about menopause and specifically surgical menopause, the more I find out all the things that I don’t know!! I was very uninformed going into this part of my life but not anymore! I’m determined to let more women know about this and to shout it from the rooftops that this is NOT some small thing!!

I can show you how to advocate for yourself so that your physician can better understand what’s happening with you and come up with a treatment plan that works.

In 2019, I a had a hysterectomy to remove 3-4 fibroid tumors that were causing me intense pain and a lot of bleeding.

Little did I know that the surgery would reveal a small tumor hiding behind my cervix. I was diagnosed with LGESS, (low grade endometrial stromal sarcoma,) and four weeks after the hysterectomy, I had to go back and have another surgery to remove my ovaries.

This started my journey with surgical menopause and getting to know myself in ways I never thought possible. That’s what this blog is all about.
